Information about this year's Memorial Day weekend events at Loma Vista Cemetery, www.lomavistamemorialpark.com, 701 E Bastanchury Rd, Fullerton, CA 92835:
- WE NEED YOU on Saturday, May 23 from 8 to 10 a.m. to place American Flags on the final resting place of over 4,400 veterans. Individuals, families, friends, and youth groups are welcome. We give you a chart of a small section of the cemetery and about 30 US flags to honor the veterans buried in that cemetery section. The Loma Vista Memorial Park is the final resting place for veterans who served in conflicts spanning over 160 years, from the Civil War to the recent Global War on Terrorism. Light refreshments are available on Saturday morning.
- Help is also needed on Tuesday morning, May 26, from 7 to 9 a.m. to take down the American Flags. Finally, we need help ironing and cleaning over 4,400 American Flags at the Fullerton Community Center to iron the 4,400 flags. Please, no small children on Tuesday. Pick-up trucks are requested on Tuesday morning from 7 am-9 am.
